About Future Energy

Future Energy was established by Michael Lyons and John Redington to provide an independent building energy consultancy and associated services for both commercial and domestic buildings.

These services are extremely important to the construction industry if Ireland is to meet the demands of the EU Directive on the Energy Performance of Buildings (EPBD). Legislation in this area is constantly changing and demanding higher performance levels from new and existing buildings and developments.

Compliancy is rarely the sole reason for opting to use the services of Future Energy on a specific project- considerable savings will be made in the long term from an energy efficient home or project. Future Energy can also assist in improving the efficiency of older buildings that perform poorly in the ratings.

Future energy offer their consultancy and energy services nationwide and are currently working with clients in all corners of Ireland comprising of Architects, Engineers, Developers, Self Builders, House owners, Business owners and Landlords.

John Reddington & Michael Lyons of Future Energy

Michael Lyons BSc HdipAppSc PG Dip Energy MIEI

Michael is a graduate of NUI Galway. He spent 7 years working with multinational companies in Dublin and Limerick as an Technical Project Lead. On enrolling for a Masters in Renewable Energy Management in 2006, Michael also started working in the renewables area and managed a renewable energy franchise business involved in the supply of Solar, Biomass and Bio Ethanol systems. He left this business in late 2007 to lead Future Energy. Michael has recently received his Postgraduate Diploma in Renewable Energy Management from University of Ulster. Michael has also become a member of Engineers Ireland MIEI.

John Redington Dip Project Mgmt Dip Renew Energy

John is a graduate of GMIT. John has over 12 years experience as project manager for a multinational company in Galway. Having a growing interest in the area of energy management, John completed a Diploma in Renewable energy from Thurles IT 2006 and in late 2007 he joined up with Michael to lead Future Energy.
